The news comes days after Clemons, carried out with Lady Gaga in the finals of the recent American Idol season left to play for the U.S. national anthem at the NBA (National Basketball Association) finals last week because of a hand injury.
Clemons has had many health problems over the past 12 months - has had both knees replaced and underwent spinal fusion surgery.
Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine in February, he said, "The timing was perfect because it does not bother a lot of stuff that was happening in my life. L '(intervention) made me stronger, and 'Last year I "I had physical therapy a couple of days a week working on my ** off to get back in shape. I walk better now, but I still use a cane and crutches. But now I'm having hip problems again.
